Locked up for life

Got done for drink driving 15 years ago, got in to my car after an afternoon session, pulled over breathalysed and locked up (rightly so).

Remember shutting my eyes in the cell, and opening them again to confirm the horror of my situation, the worst part is as you start to sober up, the more profound the feelings become of despair and hopelessness, I spent 10 hours in a cell, then I lost my job, my licensee the lot, all for a moment of madness, would never dream of doing anything like that sober, I was still paying for that moment of madness 10 years later with “DDR R10” printed on my license affecting my insurance premiums because you have to declare it.,11 years it was before it was taken off my license.

So I can relate a bit, I hope you’re not in serious trouble mate.

Ha ha, I'm not in any trouble, honest! I'm just watching a documentary about an American prison for lifers.

Like you, I spent several hours in a police cell, but that was almost 25 years ago, and was for being extremely stupid when drunk. Taking a very long "shortcut" through people's gardens with a mate, ffs! Got picked up and spent the night in the cells and was let out at about 6am.

Ha ha, I did a similar drunken garden hop stunt and hid in a wheely bin many years ago, I was that pissed I had a powernap. Got away scotfree.

Ha,ha very funny !!!, I think it was the quickest I had ever sobered up in my entire life, horrible place.

I also have a mate who got locked up at a derby at Maine Road years ago, coming out the North Stand he got caught in the momentum of a charge at the rags, a police horse nutted him from behind and put him on the floor, because all around him had scarpered.

I seen him at work on the Monday he asked me not to tell anyone what had happened nudge nudge wink wink.

He said to me it was the cheapest Saturday night out he had ever had in his entire life, they let him out at 11 30 pm and they had lost his shoe lacess,he didn’t complain because he just wanted to go home, (he was my supervisor at work by the way).

When he got home he sneaked in so as not to explain to his missus who is a sister at a local hospital what had happened.

I spent the night in a cell once, about 26 years ago. There was some pissed up fucker snoring away on the only bunk. I woke him up so i could have a seat and it turned out he went to school with my cousin.

My mate got 3 months for drink driving, only she had been caught 3 times. She was my lodger for the best part of a year, she's a really good girl as well just too easily led. She got in the car whilst under the influence on 3 occassions, and got caught all 3 times. At 20 years old she was looking at 3 months in Styal. There are so many bastards I know that shouldnt be allowed to walk the streets yet someone is a bit silly, hasnt caused harm to anyway and ens up in the clink.

I think if I was facing life, id top myself. Not much point of living really!

If she's been caught 3 times for drinking and driving I'd throw away the fucking key.

She's no better than Luke Mccormick.

I left a bar earlier this evening where a totally pissed 'friend' of mine assured me he was going to get a taxi home from but I bet you anything he doesn't.

Drink drivers should be jailed for a long, long time. My daughter's out there driving on the same streets as these bastards.

Your friend sounds like a twat Berger. I would also throw away the key.

I got away with it, but the guilt was immense.

I was really glad to wake up and realise I'd not actually killed anyone.

did your bet win?
