London/Wembley hotels

Travelling down Saturday morning. Staying at the Premier inn Hanger Lane Ealing. 2 nights £160 2 adults and 15 year old son.

Travel down sunday morning i'm driving, staying at Travelodge Brent Cross sunday night , 4 of us in 2 rooms B and B £30 each, drive home on the monday

We normally stay at the Ibis or the Mercure at Wembley but I was too slow to book this time. We booked the Mercure at Paddington. It’s on the right Underground line for Wembley and handy to get from Euston on the way down and to Kings Cross on the way back.

The East Coast Main Line is Shute for the weekend so we will travel down from Edinburgh via Carlisle to Euston on Sunday. The line is (hopefully) back open on Monday so we travel back from Kings Cross.

Booked the travel lodge kings cross Scott £34.99 for 1 night ,Btravelling by train so only a walk to Euston, bargain

Two of us staying there from Friday til Monday. This will be the third visit on the trot. The Fox and Goose pub 10 minutes walk away from which you can get a bus to Wembley stadium. You can walk it back after the game.....half hour.

The West Coast line has been closed a couple of times between Carlisle and Preston due to flooding so keep an eye on the weather and news on that. It closed again this morning for a few hours after heavy rain

I know the Carlisle Preston route and it’s problems. I tried to travel that route last Sunday but never made it out of Waverley station. As it happened, it was just as well with the match being postponed.

We have put up with replacement buses to Lockerbie, travelling the long way around via the East Coast over the past six or seven years. I know what to expect.
