Tevez too small. Adebayor lazy. Jo not good enough. Cruz not strong enough.

Balotelli?

We can only pray Balotelli is another Hart upfront. Seems like Tevez really lost the inspiration this year.

He's played one game.

Up front on his own.

Against Spurs.

Away.

Also, the whole point of Tevez playing up front on his own was for him to drop back into the midfield. We didn't go there to put crosses on his head, we went there to pack the centre of the midfield and force them wide, which was exactly what happened. This is why we played the highly defensive wide midfield combination of Barry and SWP.

Also also, Ade is perfectly fine playing up front on his own, and you must be watching a different player if you think he's lazy.

Tevez still worked hard, because of his high ethic.

But the spark wasn't there.

I'll take back my words on Adebayor though. He's just not smart enough.

The commonality all of our strikers share (Balotelli inc), with the possible exception of Adebayor and Santa Cruz, is that they are more adept in a secondary strikers role, influencing play and making movement towards defenders (rather than with their back turned).

I was going to slate the OP, but instead i'll just quote Damocles for emphasis.

1st game ?? oh please.

Doubt we will play tev on his own up front at home or against lower opposition away from home. People are underestimating how good spurs actually are at white hart lane and we went for the draw, you could see from the start!
