Long weekend in Istanbul at end of May - Turkey on Govt Red List

"The Telegraph exclusively revealed that the government is in talks with Uefa and would expect any approach they make to be 'accommodated'".

Have to remember though that City and Chelski were two of the ESL so not much good will there from UEFA plus they've got 17k tickets for the suits, 8k for fans so not top of their priorities to move it - only those coming from the UK are affected by the Red List.

If they do have a pang of consciousness and it's moved to UK, Tottingham or Emirates would be options if Wembley is booked up.
I don't know is Wembley booked up that weekend ;)

If UEFA didn't accommodate a move they must have the worst pr team going if nothing else. Staying rigid to hosting an event in a country that is a long way from recovery would just look bad from every angle. They would look, innept, stubborn to the point of stupidity, only focussed on money etc etc, take your pick. All at the expense of risking peoples health.

This is an organisation that took City to court about a fucking leaked email from years ago.

It needs to be played in a stadium with a running track, broadast in SD with the commentator using a landline telephone a second or so behind the blurred footage and a big white analogue clock in the corner of the screen showing the time left. Anything else just won't feel authentic.
Jesus how old are you ;)
I'm 53 and can JUST about remember those halcyon nights

Aleksander Ceferin appears friendly enough to City - after the ban was announced, he did an interview making clear it was an "independent" decision, and not him - and he complemented City.

He was also very quick to put out a statement praising City for pulling out of the ESL. Given it was City and Chelsea who were most reluctant and pulled out first, they may well be quite popular at UEFA right now - after all their actions ended the ESL before it got started.
