Longest matchgoing run?

I once nearly did a full season back in the 90s only missing Wolves away. Can't remember why I missed it but I did. Will never do it now though due to kids, prices and really can't be arsed to be honest. I find it a bit sad that there are some people who still go home and away at the expense of everything else. Maybe it's just me.

I did every game for three seasons 1977-1980. Then I went to Uni and could only do about 3/4 of games.
I rarely do more than 20 games a season these days.

sean riley hasnt missed a game for donkeys years, was speaking to him at west ham in league and im sure he said it was his 2000 consecutive game,as for me,i did 5 seasons without missing any games, only missed 2 home games since 1975,sheff utd and crewe, including cups friendlies and testimonials etc,not missed home game since 1999

I missed Shrewsbury Away April 1989, and I didn't miss another league game until Chelsea away in November 1993 ( Monday night 2 days after Norwich away stretched my finances too far )

** Excluding 3 when I was in hospital early '93 !

Did almost 30 years of homes between Jan 82 (1-1 v Stoke) and Nov 2011 (Napoli). Would have liked to have made the full 30 years but there you go. It 's not likely to happen again in my lifetime anyway.

Been to the last 54 games home and away (excluding champions league aways). Aim to do everyone this season.
