Looking back, how do you feel about Hughes now?

so if we hire Hitler he would get your support because he's the manager?

I'll stick with my opinion.

I confidently believe the chances of City employing a dead facist dictator as manager are pretty small. In fact, the chances of employing any facist world dictator or homicidal maniac as manager is small, given that most haven't played professional football at any level. Although, we did have Stuart Pearce, does that count?

Well we were owned by Frank who was never likely to feature on an Amnesty Int Calender

"...and October's world leader is Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra the ex Prime Minister of Thailand. Dr Shinawatra is very keen on football and handing out rough justice to various lowlifes via the barrel of an AK47. As we chatted to this charismatic leader at his secret hideout he admitted that the occasional innocent bystender did, regrettably, lose their lives but 'you can't make omlettes without breaking the eggs yes?' chuckles the good doctor.

Dr Shinawatra is currently a fugitive from international justice and ex owner of Manchester City FC. Whilst the two facts are not necessarily linked it is well known that supporting Manchester City has until very recently being known to ruin many a promising life"

So I wouldn't get too cocky on the not likely to be managed by a homicidal world leader bit . This is City you know.

We had a great start under Hughes too, winning 5 on the trot (1 being Barca). Mancini looks like he is the superior manager but after three weeks what conclusions can ewe actually draw?

I wish these type threads would die, whats the motive/point being them?

Gloating?

Some of us thought Hughes was a tosser and now it's clear he was.

can't see what there is to gloat about. absolutely nothings bad beens proven about hughes. just opinions presented. he assembled a fantastic array of players. has spent the vast amount of money better than i could have hoped for. i also think that we would have won stuff under hughes eventually. but its a fact that we'll never know for sure now. don't get me wrong though i don't think that hughes was hard done by, as back in september 2008 i thought that he had until october/november 2009 to impress the owners. and managers after all expect to come and go.

i'm enjoying mancini's reign to date. but as gstar points out hughes had as good a start to the season as mancini has had and with tougher fixtures. hopefully mancini will continue to take us forward and these results aren't just "new manager syndrome" results. hopefully mancini will spend well (if he spends at all, and i think he might not).

gutted about todays result. i think in part its about mancini not knowing the premier league or the squad that well yet. hopefully we'll go into tuesdays game with greater focus now.

i bet hughes is smiling.

HUGHES IS HISTORY
WHY KEEP GOING ON ABOUT HIM????

simple really

if all the hughes inners had been hughes outers he would have gone much sooner and we would have had more points and would have been nearer to our first premier title,

that is why hughes outers like myself still have an axe to grind

Hughes and his supporters could have cost us the title this year do not forget that
imho of course
what a high level of stupidity
as if the fans cost us the title, why the fuck do we bother going then you tool?
