Looking for advice from a Solicitor

Dont talk to me about solicitors I had an accident at work 15 months ago contacted my solicitor.
today I've received a letter to tell me I have to go for my medical also got a letter saying who is the defendant and could I tell her who I work for talk about taking the piss they got all the details 15 months ago and it seems they've lost the lot and are just starting again

You stand little chance in this area.
Essentially, if you're libeled or slandered (in your eyes) - you have to prove the other person KNEW it to be a lie, AND that you suffered substantial financial loss as a result (if you're a 'for profit' business).
The defendant only has to claim they believed it to be true not that is actually is.

If you're the defendant, you should be fine! ;-)

The Defamation Act 2013 is where you should be looking - but changes to this act have made it easier for people to make allegations without much foundation.
