Looking for Advice/Help - Stoke Away from London

I'm from Toronto, Canada and have never been to a City game, or any English football game for that matter. I'm going to London next week on buisiness and I'm hoping to stay the weekend and hit Stoke Away. I think I've lined up a ticket, if all works out well, from a fellow Bluemooner, but I have a few questions someone might be kind enough to help me with:

1) What's the best way to get there from London? Is it possible to make the game leaving on Saturday morning?
2) Is anyone else, by chance, going to the game from London that I could hook up with?
3) Anything else I should know? I know Stoke has a bit of a reputation.

Thanks!

Very helpful, thanks. It doesn't seem like it's that easy to get to the stadium from the station.. i.e. Google Maps seems to suggest I walk down the middle of the highway. Is there cabs easily accessible there?

the train stations a good 3 miles away but get into stoke for about 11 and tag along with other blues. I'm pretty sure there are direct trains form euston to stoke!

Plenty of taxis DJ and shuttle buses from centre..This link may be of use regarding the shuttle buses. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.stokecityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/BritanniaStadium/0,,10310~1109568,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.stokecityfc.premiumtv.co.uk/ ... 68,00.html</a>

lol, yeah.. That's why I was hoping to find someone heading in from London.

Virgin Trains from Euston to Manchester go direct to Stoke, just have to watch which one you get on because some don't stop. Book in advance, I'm going to London on the 13th March and it's £15 return, compared to £60 on the day.
