Losing Scouts to our Rivals

No worries from me either.
They can try and poach players we've been looking at but if the players families have any sense they'd choose the offering from the CFA (if we also want them)

Remember that competition is healthy and we somewhat need a strong rival team that's nearby that can somewhat compete, for the sake of the business model.

If we are happy to let them go , and we must be or would have done something to prevent it, then I cannot see any reason to be concerned. We obviously feel that we either have better or will bring in better, to cover for their move.

So not being absolutely " top drawer ", means that they aren't going to be able to raise the level of the signings for the bunch of tramps at the Swamp. Nicky fucking Butt ( as thick as pig shit and virtually unable to articulate ) hardly inspires any normal thinking parent to entrust their talented child to the fuckwits.

Good bye and good luck - you have just opted for failure , along with all the others who are struggling to show any ability and success.

Will the rags be having an open top parade?
haha, very good.

this is the sum of what they are reduced to in order to try to somehow keep up with us moving at a pace that is way beyond them.
putting a band-aid on a broken bone springs to mind.

"yeah, we are ace we are. we robbed two of citeh's scouts. that'll show them."

Meh... finding them and actually signing them are two different things, just track the scouts and they'll still be scouting for us in a way.

Maybe some of you who have kids in the game will know more, but I'd assume local/domestic scouting is a pretty small world? Any really talented local youngsters will be well known about by both clubs already surely?
If so it comes down to which club /academy is the most attractive :-)

Probably correct, but there is no hype in common sense, which is why the Rags will want to make something big out of it . It's also known as desperation !

Taking a couple of scouts is one thing, but City's policy at youth level is vastly more than that. This is all about a way of doing things, about investing in the best and teaching them and coaching them the right way. As good as scouts as they are, they weren't exactly the only ones noticing these talented 13/14 year olds. Everyone knew them - City just get the next bit of the phase right. I'm sure they'll be missed as some are better than others, but these are two small cogs in a huge, huge machine. United have to put an infrastructure in place that actually makes these two useful, which they don't have at the moment.

I know of some young players who have transferred from other academies. The differences are there for all to see but the promise of private schooling is a huge factor in the lads families decision making.

No other clubs do this, so it's not a major loss regardless how good these 2 are because they're effectively going fishing with inferior bait.
