Lovely Bottled Beers

Wheat beer HAS to be Wiehenstephan hefe (cloudy)
For a Belgian, first choice would be Grimbergen, with Leffe running it close
I don't like the Hobgobblin range, but their golden ale is pretty good. Even better when Morrison's knock it out at a quid a bottle
For those who have a specialist off-license near them, St Pauli Girl and Hacker Pschor are great German lagers

There's a small brewery in Cartmel, near the race track and it does a sticky toffee dark ale, bloody gorgeous

I don`t dislike fruit beers and I must admit this Timmermans Peach was very nice. When we travel occasionally by train to City for some home games we meet up with our daughter who lives in Chorlton and our first port of call is the Picadilly ?? a home brew pub right next to Picadilly Station who do some wonderful bottled beers including many fruit beers.
Have you ever tried Bar Fringe? They have at least 4 traditional draught beers on and a few foreigners on tap, one of which is Timmermans peach. Also, if you haven't been, Port street bar is well worth a look and if you find yourself in the Waldorf around 1pm on matchday, you can book yourself on the coach up to the stadium.

Used to get into the Waldorf most match days when coming up on train, however not been in since the new owners took over.Keep meaning to go into the Port Street Bar,but have been getting a taxi up to Marble Arch.
In my opening post I said that I`d had a Timmermans beer and my daughter had a bottle of it in the Picadilly Tap.

Can I put in a pitch for gluten free ales? Greene King do Old Speckled Hen and IPA gluten free in bottles. They taste pretty good and make recently gluten intolerant me very happy. £2 a bottle at Tesco.

La Chouffe .. Drinking it the other night, i uttered the words "i love you" .. My wife the silly thing thought i was talking to her :)

Anyone tried the 2017 Duvel Triple hop .. This years special is lovely , best beer I've tasted in ages ..Got mine from Booths ( best supermarket for craft beer imo)
