I have been a season ticket holder and followed City for more years than I care to remember. The way things are at present it looks as if , for the first time in over thirty years, I won't be able to afford to renew. A lot of clubs do not state 60+ or 65+ on their webpages. They just put senior citizen. Where they don't give an age I assume its 65+ .It would seem that ALL Premiership clubs have a 65+ policy but so far, I have found many clubs in the Championship and lower divisions which have adopted 60+ as the benchmark for senior citizen. My list is by no means complete - I am continuing to add to it. So far I have got Preston NE, Sheffield Utd., Leicester, Peterborough, Barnsley, Ipswich, Port Vale, Blackpool, Cambridge, Charlton, Walsall, Leeds, Mansfield, Notts Forest, Huddersfield, QPR, Bury (63+), Aldershot, Brentford, Barnet, Darlington, Lincoln, Macclesfield, Notts County, Rotherham, Tranmere, Crewe, Cambridge and there are more which I hope to find in due course. My reason for compiling this information is so I can lobby the club in the very slight hope that they introduce the 60+ ruling but I'll have to be quick about it. Afterall, they introduced a youth policy whereby schoolboys get in for a fiver (£99 season ticket). Can anyone add to the 60+ list? By the way, I'm 62.

I'm with you this one pal, although you are a lot older than me, I'm only 61. I've given the odd occasional thought to this and come up with the conclusion that with such a lot of money swilling about, a good start would be bringing Senior Citizens prices into line with Greater Manchester bus passes. Roll it out! Anyone over 60 gets a seasoncard for half price.

Have you contacted the club about this?..if so, what where their stance?

No, not yet - might even be too late. Just want to get a more complete list of clubs which treat seniors ae 60+ and also, wanted to test the water on bluemoon site and perhaps get some ideas on the best way to approach it.

Hey you little whippersnapper teenager. I'm the first one in the ground to call correctly every fucking offside against the away team. Nowt wrong with my eyesight once I get Carl Zeiss of Jena to make up the lenses.

I'm all in favour of the official term for 'senior citizen' to be reduced to 60 from 65. Many organisations now respect this. It would not mean compulsary retirement at 60 but, there are more sixty year olds retired on various grounds than there are in full time employment. Furthermore, it frees up jobs for younger people. By all means people should have the right to keep on working up to and beyond 65. As far as Manchester City ticket concessions are concerned, I think that most 60 year old supporters will have followed City for 40 years or so and it would be a fitting reward for the fortune they have spent, not to mention near heart attacks, for sticking by the team through thick and thin.

Seeing as theres a new thread about 'new owners to slash ticket prices by 20%' I am ressurecting this one in the hope that I can increase the list of clubs who have adopted the 60+ stance on senior citizen concessions. If you know of more clubs please post. The more there are will strengthen the case
