Uh oh. No Paqueta it is, despite him pleading his innocence we can't stand still and wait for it to be fully resolved. Big shame, fantastic player.

Who now, then? Olmo? Bruno isn't the same type of player.

Or we don't invest at all - and never really planned to - given Foden's recent brilliance centrally.

The brother of a relatively big NBA star (Michael Porter Jr.) was recently banned for life from the NBA for similar bets. It will be very interesting to see what the FA will do if there's sufficient evidence against Paqueta.

What's that? Saying he'll get booked at a certain time during the game etc?

If it's betting on him scoring/assisting then maybe not as bad? Same as betting on your team to do well and win - like Tonali's seemingly were.

I seem to remember leaks of a player being done for getting yellows on purpose a few seasons back and videos of Xhaka (guesswork) came to light but now I'm wondering if it was Paqueta.
