We already need to lose 4 non home grown players before we can register the squad fir champions league. Signing another would mean 5 have to leave.

If he's dribbling v. 3 players alone it means he's drawing mad cover and increases likelihood if he can pass out of it to have odd man chances.

There is a big difference with these 2 though, trying but failing with end product, as you can learn to improve on that is not tge se as
being a shithouse in a game like parqueta is if he doesn't fancy the player he is up against so he hides all game

I think you are right for most games. In the big ones, though, having Foden or Cherki in midfield may make us lightweight in the middle. So, one of them starts on the wings. Can't see us starting them both in big games, especially away from home.

In big games, Rodri, Reijnders and Paqueta/Bernie in midfield, with, say, Haaland, Marmoush/Doku and Foden/Cherki in attack.

Find that terminology rather archaic. Over the course of a season, we probably only have to field the ‘strongest starting eleven’ a handful of times, and even then that is assuming they are all fit, which they invariably are not. I doubt everyone could agree on our current strongest eleven, and for me that’s actually a good thing. The squad needs to be deep enough with sufficient quality to keep them all on their toes, which it hasn’t been, meaning the lack of rotation led to staleness.

Still don’t think Paqueta will be arriving.

Been a match going fan since 1977 sunbeam - watched city all over Europe. Doku is Peter Beagrie - name one game vs Liverpool, Arsenal, United etc that he's excelled in? Crosses never come over but hey, he's got lots of tricks that look good on reels so there's that I suppose. His end product is more often than not, zero. Haaland makes the run - ball never comes over. Repeat constantly until you end up going mad with frustration, as I'm sure Erling does with our wingers.

I feel like there’s some lazy journalism here. We clearly wanted him but never happened. He’s now clear and most likely available.

Not only have we signed a monster in Cherki, we have Bobb, Echeverri and even Mukasa waiting for proper CAM’s.

Then moving back to a more rounded box to box 8, or whatever you want to call it we have plenty of options. We haven’t shifted any players yet and have Nico O’Reilly waiting as well.

If city have remotely asked or spoken about this it would have to be to replace someone. The squad is already too big and with plenty of midfield options.
