Paqueta signed for West Ham in 2022 on a 5yr deal with an option for an extra year, so can we please stop with the repeated claims/wishes that we can sign him in the summer on a free transfer?

The ship has sailed with Paqueta, through no fault of his own, and in any case I don't think he's of the level we need.

His goal in the League Cup final against Sunderland was absolutely superb, yet arguably not even the best goal that day!

Mental this is even being discussed still, he's shown he's nowhere near the required level, even for peanuts. We dodged a bullet with the investigation putting us off, we'd have to have fully lost the plot to go back in for him.

For say £10m in January or a freebie in the summer its a no brainer

Was definitely talented, not sure I'd say he was "really good" for us. Definitely showed it once or twice. Also ducked out of the wall when RVP scored his free kick, so wouldn't class him as one of our "really good" players.

He was a key player in our title run 2014, had a very good season. After that it went pear shaped.

So true, what happens when/if West Ham go down? he was very good against us and with Bernardo and Kovacic probably leaving in the summer, i do think there is a chance Pep will try to replace all that experience with a cheeky little bid, and that he will kick up a stink to get the move done. Only my view.
