I don’t support the death penalty but if there was one this is the sort of case it should be for.
The senior trust management who ignored consultants’ concerns and actively tried to cover it up should be investigated and prosecuted. How many died that didn’t have to if there was proper management and safeguarding processes in place and actually used? What a horrible excuse for a human being. She should be incarcerated for a whole life term. Full inquiry needed for the trust's failing management and heads should roll. No compensation either as consultants' fears were ignored.
Agree, there is definitely a case to answer thereThe senior trust management who ignored consultants’ concerns and actively tried to cover it up should be investigated and prosecuted. Absolutely this. The management structure here has completely failed those parents. So many deaths in such a short time period should be an automatic outside investigation. The more you read, the more horrendous it is. This is the problem with the NHS. Way too many managers all feathering their own nest. Poor parents and poor babies. 2 of the paediatricians had to apologise to her too on request or the management by all accounts. Shameful. The senior trust management who ignored consultants’ concerns and actively tried to cover it up should be investigated and prosecuted. Think they have all gone already but they won’t be the only ones under the spotlight. This is a failing at the highest level. How there was no immediate red flag when 3 babies died in a week is remarkable. One death in 7 years since she left tells you how uncommon this is!no resignations?
Hard to fathom what could possibly motivate her to do something so abhorrent so many times.
The death penalty is too good for someone like this.
Echoing statements, i as a rule don’t support the death penalty. But when it is beyond all doubt for evil crimes such as this, hang draw and quarter the bitch.
Leave the fucking evil twats door open and let her get what she deservesNah let the **** rot for the rest of her life. Living in fear that today might be the day she gets cut up
It is five years ago, you can guarantee most will have moved on to jobs in other trusts to avoid any possible internal disciplinary rather than sticking around with a target on their backs.Think they have all gone already but they won’t be the only ones under the spotlight. For when there is beyond reasonable doubt for heinous crimes like murdering babies, yesSo you do support the death penalty then ?
Munchausen by proxy maybe? The motivation might have been some sort of sick pleasure in being in the centre of a tragedy. Sort of a sick vampire feeding off the parents emotions.
Unfortunately, the inquiry will be non statutory therefore those called before it will not be forced to answer questions and give evidence under oath. Prosecutions should follow for those board members who refused to carry out their duties to investigate Letby properly. The senior trust management who ignored consultants’ concerns and actively tried to cover it up should be investigated and prosecuted.
