That celebration did carry a certain amount of mirth, but unfortunately for him, not only was it an own goal, but the "Taking the piss out of my own diving reputation" scenario has been done before, years ago, by Jurgen Klinsmann. At least if you're going to do something like that, let it be a) when you actually score, and b) something original.
