Do we really? I don't agree, I want the team, me and my family support, to be composed of characters we can admire. Hard but fair, like our captain and Zab. Not meaning to be personal but your comment seems to say more about your own view on what's acceptable in behaviour.Outstanding footballer and a winner.

I'm a bit confused about the slaughtering of Suarez as a person. I freely admit I haven't taken a great deal of notice of his off pitch behaviour, and I may have missed (lots) of things. I'm aware obviously of his taste for human flesh, but what else has he done?
If it's simply the one character flaw, and he doesn't go around murdering puppies and sticking fireworks up kittens arses, then put it down to a (overdeveloped) desire to win, which in a footballer, or any sportsman, isn't really a bad thing
I'm not condoning his preferred choice of mid game snack, just suggesting a little perspective may be required.
On the other hand, if he's an axe wielding, child-molesting, drug abusing, wife beating alcoholic, then ignore what I said

There was a time when I wanted us to win with a side directly from our youth team, we had a shot but it didn't happen.
There was a time I wanted us to rule the world with a team of gentleman, officials, media, UEFA made sure it didn't happen.
I really don't like the guy but we're already derided and hated but pansy about in the pitch. IF he's available and WANTS to come let's get this done.

The last 3 years we became a weak, inept shambles, I want to see a team like we had under Mancini when we won the title. A team that was skilful, ruthless and tactically astute.
A team like the Italians under Conte.....

He's a very good player there's no denying it and yes, he does have the tenacity of Tevez, we have missed. However, you make the point we're "derided and hated" already. The hatred etc isn't going to go away so we may as well try and use it to our advantage. That's fair enough, we all want to win. Some like to win by "deliberately cheating", personally I don't agree with that. I know others will disagree.I want to win, nothing more, nothing less.
