Strange but he never looked that big to me playing for the U23s but he is a seriously big unit.Probably the second time I've seen him and I was impressed. He's got great size for his age and seems competent on the ball.

If we can get big money for Laporte at the end of this season I'd be tempted to move him on - which sounds a bit daft.
However, with Mbete and Doyle both coming through I wouldn't be that worried. They're both exceptional left sided centre halves who can defend properly but also play out from the back.
It'll get to the point where we have to prioritise our young English talents.

Not sure about that. Ake maybe but certainly not Laporte. Given Stones’ injury history we’d be mad to get rid of Laporte unless Doyle or Mbete overtake him in the pecking order. Not gonna happen in 12 months!
