30 Million is massive money for an 18 year old.

United could spend 200m just to stand still. Replacing the likes of Vidic and Evra with a similar standard will cost plenty. Finding the elusive playmaker will also mean mega money. Those three signings alone will take half of the pot up.

You could argue that Rooney was a bargain at £30m for an 18 year old but his constant financial demands have taken his wages to a level where he is costing them a fortune - given his impact on their wage structure I.e. His behavior has forced up other peoples wages.
