Seeing it on TV, the home complaining was VERY visible both audibly and visually given how close the seats are to the pitch. I couldn't believe how much belly-aching there was.Vital win today.
We sat with the home support and I am struggling to describe them without using a politically incorrect term. I’m not sure I’ve encountered a crowd that complained about every refereeing decision that went against them (Scousers?).
Except for the missed RED card for the spikes on Foden, perhaps so. Not sure what VAR replay the ref saw to not book that. ;-)The ref actually got most decisions right.
Glad you got to enjoy it live, and thanks for representing! Cheers. We had a close view of a lot of the action and it was interesting seeing some of the touches and movements of City’s players. A different perspective to sitting on Level 3 of the Kippax.
Luton were a tricky little banana skin due to their tight pitch. Technically they were limited but they were aggressive, quick and reasonably well organised defensively.
City played well, not great.
Kovacic is getting back to his early season form. Gvardiol is going to be some player, there’s a lot more to come from him.
