Press us to fuck like the dippers then tire. Oh, and Ndombele. Very impressed with him. All over the pitch stopping Silva numerous times, snuffing out our attacks, stronger than any of our players in duels and starting many of their moves with clever movement and passes.
 
Not sure why we were kept in for 40 minutes and why they had riot police itching to get stuck in on the way out. Don’t think the French like us.

Agreed would improve our midfield options.
 
Not an easy watch if you wanted a stress free evening, but to be honest it was nice to play a team that didn’t just roll over. Think Lyon will give many of the big boys worries if they make it through.
We suffered in midfield where everyone was looking at David to do that bit of magic, but he had a bit of an off night by his standards and was marked out of the game by Lyon (impressively done by Ndomble).
Without Bernie or Kev this can happen, thankfully both are back soon. Mahrez in the middle just didn’t work even though he looked ok in that role during preseason.
Jury’s our for me on Zinny, love the guy but didn’t really grasp his opportunity with both hands and looked quite angry with himself walking off the pitch.
Anyway qualified with a game to go and only need a point against Hoffenheim to guarantee top spot, happy days.

Don't be ridiculous.
We didn't "dig in".
That's not our style, we competed with them toe to toe but defensively we were poor particularly in the first half.
 
Thought Denayer played quite well - glad to see that he is fulfilling some of his obvious potential.

I was surprised by the line-up and think we could have fielded a stronger team from the 19 man squad but happy with the result.
