That's shocking news. Played 3 times for us at the end of the 2009/10 season and one of those was effectively the 4th place play-off game when Spurs beat us 1-0 with a Peter Crouch goal.

Just realised he was also in goal for Sunderland in the 4-3 game that was Mark Hughes' last game in charge.

Awful news. Shows once again what an indiscriminate bastard of a disease cancer can be. The guy was young and even as a goalkeeper would have been a hell of a lot physically fitter than most people. He'd have been careful with his diet and his lifestyle. I don't know for definite but I'm guessing he wasn't smoking 40 a day and drinking heavily all his life. And yet still it's taken him. Just shocking.
