My Dad said that back in the early 70s they were the worst dressed fans in the NorthWest - he reckons they looked like a Bay City Rollers concert crowd more than a football crowd.bored at work said:Balti said:MIP

My two uncles on my Mam's side are a bit younger - one's a Blue and the other's a red (not got a clue why, nobody else is in the family) - both have said United were the better dressed lot in the 80s but the red uncle tries to make out we were double denim wearing, mullet and mustache sporting tramps, while my Blue uncle says that's exaggerated.

And to be fair they have brought mobs to our place, it's just when numbers are even they aren't interested. When they vastly outnumber any mob that's when they cliam a result. Tossers of the highest order!
Correct... ask them about the science park, Thirsty Scholar, White City, Lever street... eh? what? Wasn't our main lads...
all are occasions when they 'called it on' with numbers and got spanked'
all about the numbers...
I was on my way to the Abbey that night and saw it happening, like a scene from Zulu.

silvaspass said:Heard the MIB want to be inconspicuous this season. They will be wearing red n white scarves, Fellini wigs and are being led by a large purple dinosaur called Barney who will lead the singing of their favourite nursery rhymes. As for fashion - early seventies Crombi coats, half mast jeans, Ben Sherman shirts
worn by by both sides .Nitid morphed into the Bay City rollers look whilst city seemed by the end of the decade were more original Punk, like Daffy ( anyone remember Leeds 5th round of the cup Daffy and his mates causing a stir in their kop and legging it across the pitch ?). Into the eighties I'm no Fashionista but Pringle and Fred Perry spring to mind. I think Nitid fans did favour Mothercare though.

If it's sad and pathetic when they do it, then the same rules should apply to us.alberto0292 said:going around on twitter tonight
