Funniest thing I ever saw was the picture of the demonstrator at one of the anti-Glazer demos.

He was holding a placard saying Mancs not Yanks and he was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap.

Oh the ironing!

;-)

That's the one!

Thanks very much :-D

wheeling out the old "small club" insult - yawwwn! 3 billion fans worldwide don't you know. South East Asia loyal

Quite fitting that a yank has brought them down after they have whored themselves all over the globe as shamelessly as MacDonalds..

You are absolutely spot on.

It is worth reminding ourselves what a period of dominance can do to colour the mind of football supporters.

When we last tasted success this was the roll of honour for both clubs:

CITY

First Division: 2

1936–37, 1967–68

FA Cup: 4

1903/04, 1933/34, 1955/56, 1968/69

League Cup: 2

1969/70, 1975/76

European Cup Winners Cup: 1

1969/70

Total Honours: 9

UNITED

First Division: 7

1907–08, 1910–11, 1951–52, 1955–56, 1956–57, 1964–65, 1966–67

FA Cup: 3

1908–09, 1947–48, 1962–63

League Cup: 0

European Cup: 1

1967–68

Total Honours: 11

To be honest, I don't give a fcuk where Rooney goes and IMHO getting a Fabregas/Alonso-type is more of a priority for us but it is rather nice to see "them" have their world view shaken to the core.

Top players will parrot the history line but what they really want is money and a chance to achieve their ambitions.

Maybe, just maybe the Blues are about to oust the Reds.
