M40 for cup final?

M40 to Abingdon on Friday with Mrs Moon for a long weekend with my lad, partner and 3 1/2 month old grandson Alfie.
One of us will be on the short straw driving to Ruislip and back on game day, probably him as I'll have driven 210 miles or so on the Friday & the same going back on Sunday, plus which he's gagging to show me what his latest car can do. We were intending getting the train into London from Didcot but, that's not happening now ;(

Im on a coach for change but if there are any issues with that I will be travelling down by car and using the M40. I only saw one united coach on the motorway in 2011, they will all be on the tube.

I'm going M40 - always do. Why should you have to have a redshirt to go that way? They seem to have allocated the best parking to our rag friends also. My wife has a blue badge - so in the past we have booked a blue badge space. This year all those spaces had gone - presumably given to Rags and corporates. The red car park which is nearest to the west side has also been given to them. How does that make sense? Ours is the pink car park - never been there before but at least if its all City that's good.

used the M40 in the semi final derby,not a rag in sight going and coming back
90% will stop at Warwick as it is on and off and roughly the mid-point. If you want to avoid them don't go there.Did I read that City fans have been advised to travel M6 & M1 for Wembley, and the 17 Manchester based rags have been allocated M6 & M40? Given M40 is far more convenient than M1 are any of the M40 services City allocated or all rags? Cheers
