We had a bit of fun everytime our coach drove alongside a Wigan coach on the way back.. the Pie Eaters trying to wind us up... us giving them the 'Going Down' gestures back.. they didn't like it! ;-)

Norwich winning at the moment, so The PIeEaters will have to win both their matches and hope Norwich lose on the last day. Where are Norwich on the last day? Pay back time for PieEaters. We might have got second by then so it'd be one game I wouldn't mind losing!!!

I've done twenty-four hours of 24ct magnanimity. Normal service is resumed!

Dont understand where all this good will towards The egg chasers has been coming from to be honest.

They have a staunch Rag apologist for a chairman, they have a manager who had a chance to slapthe govanpisscan down earlier this season and backtracked better than a reversing truck and they have some of the most obnoxious fans i have come across.

edit: sorry forgot to say if you couldnt tell - hope they go down

Only this...

All the Wigan fans we met were just nice, decent people.

On the way back we had a good chat with Spurs fans going to Stoke.

All this war, threat and battle thing is just down to individual idiots.

being a wigan fan for many years who has travelled all over the country to watch my team ,i would like to congratulate the city fans. we stopped off at the motorway services and didnt know what to expect when faced by hoardes of city fans.once in there we were met by handshakes and congratulations. thanks you have fans to be proud of . it topped off a petfect day

Same here. Was chatting to a few on the tube back to Heathrow (hotel was out that neck of the woods, see?) and they were sound.

i ended up in the club wembley Wigan end and was chatting to loads of Wigan fans and they were all sound even though i was singing and shouting for the blues.I shook hands with loads of their fans and congratulated them on their victory! one Wigan lad had his City fan girlfriend with him and she told me how they had agreed before the match that if Wigan won he could do anything to her,if City won she could do anything to him! i said i bet your gonna be sore in the morning love! jammy bastard she was fit as well! Saw a few bad losers after the game from our lot who were acting like cocks but thats what some of our new fans are, cocks!

You know the rules pal.. where is the photo evidence :P

I honestly did not want us to equalise when Wigan scored. If we had won it, it wouldn't have meant as much and the celebrations would have been half hearted.

You wanted us to lose an FA Cup final because you thought the celebrations might have been half hearted if we had?

That's possibly the strangest comment I've ever read on here.

are we attracting the same kind of fans as what the rags have been doing since their success.Arrogant? Wasnt that long ago watching City seemed to be more light hearted with inflatables and great humour etc.Now it seems the fun has gone out of it.

No mate. The common trait among most of these shock horror stories is " These were grown men in their 40's/ 50's" I suspect these people have been getting drunk, going to City and behaving a bit over the top, for many years.

It's seems more likely to me that the people who are shocked by it are the new fans.

Can the person, for example, who says he's considering not taking his kids anymore because its got that bad, have ever been near a football ground in the 80's?

The bloke next to me was absolutely steaming and stank. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere at all yesterday. Some bloke was kicking off a few seats away and screaming at another blue "do you know who your messing with" again he looked out of it. Wembley is a nice stadium if not quite bland and in a very strange area with not a lot to see and enjoy before the game. If we get there again I would have a meal in club wembley I think instead. The day left me totally underwhelmed with city and football. Wigan wanted it more' fans and players. As a fan of 30years who has been to a thousand games I honestly did not want us to equalise when Wigan scored. If we had won it, it wouldn't have meant as much and the celebrations would have been half hearted. I felt we were going to loose from early on. Much kudos to the decent city fans who applauded Wigan but we do have some absolute idiots following us.

Sums up my day, perfectly. I won't be going to Wembley again. London away games are usually brilliant but these ocations are now saturated by idiots.

I went to Madrid last year with my dad and had a good time
You're best saving your cash for a European away game.
think you will be doubly disappointed with euro away games mate
