am thinking of taking the junior blues to joderell bank in the next few days. can anyone recommend somewhere nearby where we can get something to eat after we've been? child friendly much preferred obviously.

Jodrell Bank is a good place to take a picnic a bottle and a space cake..
 
A guy i used to know runs this pub ..... the Cock , Chelford Road ..... he sings , got a great voice , and swears blind that the food there is top notch !

Blacksmiths Arms in Henbury has always been decent if you're happy with a chain pub. There are probably others closer to Jodrell Bank though depending on what route you are taking. Like the Egerton Arms in Chelford but I can't vouch for it

Red Lion in Withington was very good when we went - and before you say anything there is a Withington in Cheshire, not too far from Jodrell Bank with a pub called the Red Lion:

There's also the a place called the Yellow Broom. Bit more "up market" etc and dunno if it's the kind of place you want to take your young 'uns but here's the web site anyway:
