Lucky Toma said:Apart from the obvious 5 or 6 (and we all know which they are - Agueroooo, Dickov, Bradford and Blackburn away, Yaya's semi and final strikes) what's the maddest you've ever celebrated a City goal?
Top 3 for me -
Peter Reid's winner at Villa in 1990 that ended our long winless away streak. Went absolutely batshit crazy.
Morley's in '89 v Rags that made it 2-0. Ended up halfway across the Kippax.
Bellamy's equaliser at the swamp in 2009. Okay so it was soon after followed by an illegal winner but until then I was plastered to the ceiling.
Also recall getting two late goals to come back against Oxford many years ago with Redmond (I think?) heading home with seconds to spare.
Definitely Stevey Redmond v Oxford.
My choice:
Oldfield, Morley, Bishop, Oldfield and Hinchcliffe in the 5-1, Morley's 2nd as you point out wa particulalrly manic. What us? With our injury hit (no Nabba, no Clive Allen) team of kids 2-0 up on their team of expensive buys!? Could hardly believe it. Sprained my ankle on the Kippax steps for the 5th goal..there was so much adrenalin pumping round I could hardly feel it until abot an hour after the game.
John Gidman last minute free kick equaliser in FA Cup tie at Huddersfield in 87/88. Went mental on the soaking open end at Leeds Rd. A copper smashed a City fan against the fence which made people go beserk.
Manic laughter for the 5th and 6th goals of the 6-1.
And of course, Aguerooooooooo....
To name but 4....
