After 34 years without a trophy, this was a golden opportunity missed.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Everton all out. this was a trophy we could have won. Just cast your mind back to last seasons quarter and semis against Arsenal and United, boy we wanted it then. What on earth now makes us think we are good enough or big enough to just chuck away possibly our best chance of winning something.

Agree totally, why can't these players on thousands a week play 2 games.
We work 5 - 7 days a week, play sundays and get paid pittance. Its a joke.
We have players like RSC who couldn't give a hoot if he don't play again as long as his bank balance is growing
The players who ducked or rested tonight better give 100% sat. I wouldn't mind if it was West Brom strong eleven but they dropped 10 players from sat

If we win on Saturday it will be a master stroke from Mancini but I can't help think that it smacks of arrogance. Surely we could have started with a few more first teamers. At the moment, I am really annoyed but if we get three points on Saturday, I will hold my hands up and agree that the right decision was made.

Chris, have you looked at tonight's team. It bears no comparison with any City side you will see from now to the rest of the season? You might as well fret about a youth team result, for all the insight this performance and result gives about our capabilities in every other competition. Wum.

Before the match I was amazed at just how weakened our side was and how many of the kids he put out. On paper we went out there as unnecessary underdogs.

And now that Liverpool and Chelsea have been dumped from the tournament I am even more frustrated.

Tonight was a wasted opportunity. A very important one despite what most on BlueMoon tonight are claiming.
