does anyone know how to get round sending ticket straight to mobile pass?

I need it to be an email ticket to download instead but it’s not giving me the option.

POSSIBLY, closer to the game there'll be an option for you to transfer the ticket to another person with a supporter number. At this point you be able to transfer via email through your City account
 
I can’t go to this game due to shift work, I’m a season ticket holder, however my mate wants me to buy my ticket , can I trnsftervthe ticket if I purchase one?
I've just bought 2 for me and my son and the only option was to load to mobile pass, first time this has happened, I've had the option to send to email address which would allow me to forward it to someone else if I wanted to. I think your only option is to screenshot the barcode and send it him via WhatsApp, I've been told it definitely works doing it this way.

I would advise being very careful before forwarding ticket emails rather than transferring tickets on City's system. Season cards are frequently remaining on people's wallets from the previous home game due to a glitch in the system. This is especially an issue for Blues who resold their tickets for the previous home games. I had a situation where a mate was locked out for last season's Madrid home game and they wouldn't let him in.
 
It’s not possible for any games for single tickets.
Only ST holders can transfer their tickets (regardless of competition)

I think they're alluding to the fact that previously Season Ticket Holders not on the Cup Scheme could choose between 'Load to Mobile Pass' which would go straight onto your phone or 'Mobile Ticket' which was essentially an email that can be forwarded on to somebody else for them to download.

Maybe the Ticket Compliance Officer ensuring Season Ticket Holders have to attend themselves?

Barcodes are dynamic, screenshots don't work AFIK.

I had this problem when buying an extra ticket for Chelsea game for one of my F&F who has a supporter number but not matchday membership, the email option was no longer there. The only way round it was to buy the matchday membership, took the price of their ticket for one game to £112! At least we won…

Looks like my assumption is correct then. A concerted effort to control who is entering the stadium.

The friends and family ticket transfer will be next I reckon. Only able to transfer it to paid members like the rags or force you to sell it back to them.

Sales to Manchester City v Real Madrid 11/02/2025 20:00 are limited to 0 ticket(s) per person.
Gotta flog them tickets to Real fans in the home end first.

I’m pretty certain that only season ticket holders in that competition’s cup scheme can transfer a cup ticket to someone in their friends and family list. If you’re not in the UEFA scheme, I don’t think what you want to do is possible.
 
Trying to purchase an extra ticket for my partner to sit next to me, but currently 24,535 in the queue

Looks like some people can afford the tickets.
