magic of the cup

I'm up 4 the cup but can partly understand that during a recession people have to cut there cloth accordingly. City missed a good oppotunity to repay the fans havin been forced into rippin us off against the rags in the Worthless cup. £15 would have been fine and a pound for juniors. This would have filled the ground and helped create a good old fashioned fa cup atmosphere that is sadly missing these days, wait till we get to the semi and final and all the stay aways will find funds and be bleating they cant get a ticket.
The club should distribute tickets to supporters who have attended all cup games this season first then return to the usual loyalty point system which i am in favour of to as i have 6500.

I can remember some shitty cup defeats and the shitty ride home.
Halifax 1-0 Brentford 3-1 Notts County 1-0
some good away draws 1-1 Blackpool last minute equaliser. Painted the town sky blue.
Everton 1-1 Paul Power Lob

The magic of the cup diminished when the bloody "Big 4" kept winning it. And also the CL and Prem becoming the focus.

Years ago there was a real sense of a possible once in a lifetime experience for some of the players that walked out at Wembley. It used to be a real all day "event" and was truly exciting.

Yep, I'm well up for tomorrow, love cup games. Reckon it'll be a good match as I can see Stoke really going for it. Will start getting excited about Wembley again if we win and get a home draw in the next round!

so why are so many not bothering.

where's the romance in finishing fourth, no matter what it brings.

i cannot believe the amount of people who boycott the cup until the later stages, its actually a chance to see a decent game.

I love the F.A. Cup. I'll be there tomorrow as well with my fingers crossed.

I can't quite come to terms with the fact that some City fans would choose finishing fourth over actually winning a cup. Not just any cup either, the oldest and greatest cup competition in the world. Maybe in a few years if we have the sort of success United have had recently, we would perhaps make the F.A. Cup a lower priority. But not when we've had a 34-year famine. Nevermind the glory and prestige of final day, City fans everywhere will feel liberated if we actually put a pot on the table.

Incidentally, does anyone know how many tickets have been sold for tomorrow? And, how many of those are Stoke fans?

And if we win, we're only one game away from Wembley!

Can't remember us being 2nd favourites to win the bloody thing ever (except when we got to the final!)

It really is a massive game for us and I am well up for it. Summat wrong if you're not IMO
