Thanks for that.Alex will really appreciate it. He has been out of work for many years, but the praise he is getting for some of his stuff (go to '3570xela' on You-tube) has given him a CV of sorts....who knows where it might lead.

Many thanks one and all. Setting off any minute.

Working at The Etihad tomorrow so not sure when I'll get the Match Report onto our site....perhaps tomorrow evening if I can just stay out of that damn pub!

Road 0 Bacup 5. Disaster is too strong a word, but it was certainly a case of 'Whatever Could Go Wrong Did Go Wrong'. At 45minutes and 0-1 down, we had no cause to worry. They had scored a blinding 'Brocky' style free-kick, but I would say we'd had 65% of the half and had caused much more chaos in their area....then we get the unfortunate two deflections that led to their 2nd goal. To be two down at half-time was an injustice and all the NWCFL officials agreed.

Second-half we hoped we could respond, but to some degree we went into self-destruct and Bacup picked us off with some exceptional pace and efficiency. The details will eventually find their way into the match report, but well done to Bacup - in the end there was only one team that deserved to win. To Road, well done in getting there in the first place...you really kept the season alive. Heads up..some of the younger players will grow stronger and be even more effective next season...thanks for the ride and thanks to all who came down to support -much appreciated.
