Maine Road Massacre 23/09/1989 version 2.0

I took it that @Shaggy was saying that AH hates us so much now, he's turned into a ****! (apologies if wrong, not the AH is a **** bit!)

A great day and the rag scum hated it, so it's in my top 3 games of all time!
Spot on, what with all the recent hubris over AH's comments and general distain for City these days, thought I'd do a a bit of Stalinst revisionism of the game.

Every September the 23rd I still wish all the City and United fans I know a "Very Happy 5-1 day".

I know it was ages ago and we've bettered it with the 1-6 but it's still the original "Demolition Derby" for me :)

23rd day of September

Hey, hey, hey! Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember? Ba-dee-ya, dancin' in September Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day

I thought it was going to my best ever day watching City, nothing happened to change my mind, until....

I was on holiday in Greece, wasn't so easy to find out the score back then.
I can remember walking around asking complete strangers if they knew the result until i found some random bloke who told me the score.
I told him to fuck off as i didn't believe him

Why Trafford Rovers and not Trafford United?

Why Trafford Rovers and not Trafford United?
Used to wind up my late Aunt Val (season ticket holder, she hated out of town fans) who was a died hard, United fan by calling them Trafford Rovers, just a thing I call them.
