I remember it had a small 'Rangers' section for our friends from the North

I splurged on a fancy mirror for my room back in the 70’s. I think it was about eight quid. I brought it to the States and gave it to my son about twenty years ago and told him that City were the best. How right I was!

I bought a woollen jumper from there with the City crest embroidered on it. After about a week it literally started to unravel. I took it back, the bloke running the shop point blank refused to exchange it or give me a refund. Had a stand up row with him in the middle of the shop. He wasn’t having any of it and basically told me to fuck off. So I did. The best shop was the one Bell, Lee & Summerbee set up across the road and used to sign pictures and photos before the game. We really were a soap opera in them days. Happy days though. Glad we lived through them so we can enjoy what we have today.

City was 20 years behind the times in the late 90s. What a shit show.

It was a joke wasnt it ? Only bought a couple of things there. Just before my son was born I bought a pair of baby's bootees and a bib from the shop. The bib said "I support City 'cos my Dad said so". Still got it packed away in the loft. He's 29 now and we still go to the match together, so I suppose it worked. :-)

Perfect example of how City were ran. 52,000 potential costumers and a shop that could squeeze about half a dozen people in, with someone else pocketed the profits.

It did. I bought a ‘KinKladze’ beanie hat with the two K’s that looked like the KitKat logo from there. Still got it somewhere.
