Major mistakes of MCFC?

It was all part of a wonderful masterplan to deliver us to where we are today.

To be a top European club having been run like an amateur circus in the last 30 years makes us richer for the experience.

If we ever go on to win it, I would like to see the Champions League trophy displayed alongside the 'Cup for Cock-Ups' to act as a reminder of the incredible journey that we've been on.

...and selling De Jong.

Failing to strengthen the team after winning the title. If we'd got just 2 or 3 top class players like van Persie, Hazard or Bale last summer we'd probably have just done the double this season.

Allowing Peter Swales to join the board then become Chairman.

As much as you might hate the old man he was City through and through. Even though he didn't make us bigger than "Stretford Rangers" he certainly tried.

In my time supporting City the biggest mistake was getting rid of Tony Book and replacing him with Malcolm Allison who dismantled a fine team and introduced the likes of Steve Daley.
Swales always did his best for City with limited resources and broke the transfer record for Trevor Francis, his heart was in the right place and he loved City, far too many blues are ready to slag the guy off and probably are far too young to remember him.
his heart may of been in the right place, but his head was a total fuck up ,will never forget that we were a top six club for 90 years of our 100 year history, untill he got involved,30 odd years of shit a whole generation of fans lost ,bad call after bad call ,if it wasnt for a loyal fanbase we would have gone to the wall ,

Historically, signing Rodney Marsh. Bringing Malcom back and Alan Ball.

Most serious, but as yet not quite widely known, was allowing Shinawatra to take our club to the absolute brink of financial disaster.

Most recently - Starting talks to replace Mancini when the season wasn't half over. And, oh dear (how stupid can it get), turning the speculation to full on rampant by holding a special board meeting on the actual day of the FA cup Final.

Major Mistakes:

making the xmas party fancy dress..step forward joey aka Jimmy Savile.

Ryan Wilson, Louis Figo etc etc

Opening the new platt lane on an FA cup gamebeing beamed around the world..accident waiting to happen

Giving Stuart Pearce the last penalty ever at Maine road

Giving Stuart Pearce the managers job

Giving Robbie Fowler the penalty v boro to take us into europe

Danny Mills contract

Allowing Eddie Phillips (I think) the franchise to selling City merchandise - and ultimately the old badge.

Yes, Kappa may have came in and still insisted on a change of badge.

But seriously, what club in the world doesn't "own" their own badge!!

Where our club is going now is as exciting as fook...... but our past - is just unique!!

MCFC - we deffo do things differently here!!
