Making An Offer

I love it when i make a reasonable offer and they decline, then it doesn't sell and they drop the price lower than i offered... "Karma you greedy woman"
Why some people add "Offers" to the listing then decline near full "Buy It Now" price puzzles me.

motor, too owd for a pushbike lol,i've already got a bike(motor) but when i get money i always seem to whittle it away and end up with nothing,i was going to put it in my front room, bike mad me lol as an investment, for those who dont know every now and again a certain bike gets very collectable and the one i was after tho not now, but in the future is going to be one of those bikes, and the sellar knows this unfortunately, its eleven years old now and is in mint condition completely original in every way, anyway best not to dwell lol

Your going to keep it in the front room lol

Looks like he wants 2500 for it
Decide if its worth that to you then act on it

With ebay though its worth actually going to see the bike and hear the engine, test things like brakes, has it been dropped, does it have service history.....also here in Oz you can get a Revs check that shows who owns the bike and if they have finance on it, if they do walk away as you dont know if that finance will be paid off...............all that kinda stuff

i was just browsing ebay and found a bike i fancied at £2600 buy it now or offers i offered £2400 then £2450 which were both declined,i could pay the full amount at a push but it would leave me absolutely potless, would you have accepted my offer if it were you?
Do a Wenger, offer £2,450.01

If it is going to balloon in value in the near future, then the extra £150 is nothing, is it?

I never bother much with ebay anymore but I also used to find it bizarre and frustrating that sellers would have "make an offer" only to reject anything less than about 99.5% of the buy it now price.

Why on earth would you spend two and a half grand on something if that's the only money you have?

Leave the cash in the bank mate, live within your means and drip feed the savings as and when you need them.
