Yes we are. Can't be arsed posting the links but I reckon it's better paying to keep trouble away from the club if we can afford it than letting it fester if we can't...

Re: Man City are paying Bellamy to leave...

If Mancini can't handle Bellers why bring in Balotelli. It was only said today that when inter beat Barcelona. The players were celebrating on the pitch. Balotelli took his shirt off & just walked away. Thats showing a lot of respect for the club & fans. How can city fans slag Bellers off. He gave his all on the pitch & never let the fans down. His goal scoring record far out weighs. SWP, Johnson, RSC, Balotelli & thats just to name a few. Look up his record for a winger its not bad. We will miss him over the season. Get rid of the crap like SWP & Richards. Mancini will be gone with another team selection like last sat. Plus did we not pay Robbies wage to sun it up last season.

1. Because he has handled Balotelli successfully already at Inter.
2. How do you know he couldn't handle Bellamy? Maybe he just got completely pissed off with him like a few other managers in his past.

Actually think it's a master-stroke. Bellamy is singing City's praises, we're perceived to be helping a less fortunate club in financial trouble and the press is left scrambling for a negative angle (which they can't find).

Oh, and it'll piss twitcher Redknapp off no end...........

MANCHESTER CITY PAYING CRAIG BELLAMY £70K TO PLAY AWAY

MANCHESTER CITY will pay Craig Bellamy £70,000-a-week for the rest of this season to keep him out of the clutches of their Premier League rivals.

The Wales captain, 31, yesterday signed on loan for Championship side Cardiff with the blessing of City chief executive Garry Cook.

Bellamy insisted City boss Roberto Mancini did not dictate where he could play this season – despite axeing him from his 25-man squad.

But the move to his hometown club has been heavily subsidised by City, who were desperate not to face him on the field this season.

Spurs and Fulham were both in the hunt for Bellamy.

But he confirmed yesterday he has not given up a penny of his £90,000-a-week wages – despite dropping down a division to a club that has been battling financial troubles.

His image rights payments are also still being paid by City.

Bellamy said: “Was I willing to sacrifice money? No.

“You would have to speak to Manchester City about the details.

“It is not true I have given up image rights payments. I have a foundation in Africa and my image rights pay for that. It is very important.

“I have a responsibility to 61 kids who need me day-in and day-out to live basically off that.

“Manchester City understand that completely and that wasn’t a problem.”

Cardiff’s coup in attracting a man who was among the top division’s best players last season caused anger among other clubs who are still owed money by them.

Their Malaysian investors have helped fund the £20,000-a-week portion of Bellamy’s pay packet they must find.

But Scottish club Motherwell immediately threatened legal action – including the possibility of sending bailiffs to the Cardiff City Stadium for Bellamy’s debut on Saturday.

Motherwell say they are owed £175,000 from the sale of Paul Quinn in January – and Cardiff did not turn up in court last Friday to respond to a writ against them.

Their chief executive Leann Dempster said: “We have given Cardiff every chance to do the right thing but their position is untenable after signing five players and now the loan signing of Bellamy.

“We will take all routes to ensure this significant sum is paid, which may include physically sending bailiffs to their ground on match day to take possession of cash.”

Cardiff chief executive Gethin Jenkins said: “Our lawyers are talking to them and I am confident this will be settled in seven days.”

Meanwhile, Bellamy insisted his conflict with Mancini is over and isn’t ruling out returning to Eastlands next summer to complete the last year of his contract.

He added: “I am fine with him. I hope he does really well.

“He’s a top manager who has bought some top players.

“I am on loan for a season so you never know what will happen.

“As a kid it was my dream to play for Cardiff City.

“It’s a shame I didn’t do that at the start of my career – but it is exciting to be coming at my peak.”

His image rights payments go to help children in Africa and our club is continuing to help those children during the loan. However the media spin it, our club are happy to do this, as it is Ramadan for them I would imagine that the decision to continue making these charitable payments was one that our owners preferred.
