I always say this. I dont pay watch there goaly take 5 mins for a goal kick.
refs come in for stick, some justified, some not, but it pisses me off when they dont hurry the goaly up
It needs addressing

The scam is the 4 minutes of added time.so basically most fans are only get 50% of what they pay for. Scam.
Nail on headSaid this a thousand times, have a designated timekeeper so when play stops, clock stops.
The clock can be visible to the fans counting down each half of say 40 mins proper inplay football.
Timewasting as a tactic would be pointless, and it would be fun watching someone take a 45 yard shot with three seconds left before the hooter sounds.
It takes 3 hours to play a 60 minute NFL game, that should tell you all about how much time wasting there is in football.Over the years I've seen PL players getting faster, work harder, run more. At the same time things like head injury breaks, timeouts for hot weather, slight knocks nowadays getting treated, better match tactical management so that players get a break. I think it's natural that they take more of a break due to the vastly increased tempo.
Yep genuinely this. Our bookings for this are scandalous. It’s analogous to opposition thugs hacking fuck out of Silva’s ankles unpunished for 88 mins and then he innocuously trips one of em up and gets an instant yellow cardAnd we probably have the most bookings for alleged timewasting lol
But the point is that if the play stops for whatever reason, including those you've listed, THE CLOCK STOPS!
The time wasters still have to play 90 minutes irrespective of their noses running, socks fallen down, a dirty stain on their nice clean boots, etc, all of which require the urgent intervention of the coaching staff. Take as long as you want - the clock has stopped. When you feel a bit better, we'll carry on. If it's an away match, you might miss the last train back, but, hey ho, such is life.
They'll soon get fed up with it when reality bites, as will their managers.
And look on the bright side - no more bookings for time wasting!
It's the coaches and management who are mostly to blame, we call it time wasting they call it game management. I'd be interested to see how much time goalkeepers waste, throw-ins can also be frustratingly used to waste time.Be 80 minutes if refs did their job properly
