I thought reading played well containing us, and pogbrenyak held the ball up well, however that jimmy kebe is a right wanker, no sympathy for them after that, on another note, why the fuck do we need 3 midfielders against reading at home? Sinclair must be fuming.

Why must Sinclair be fuming? The lad is at best an average premiership player, very lucky to be where he is.

Out thought by the bottom of the league manager today , his tactics were spot on , lucky win.
Tactics? eleven men behind the ball and we still won them tactics worked well for them didnt they?

This is the type of games that win leagues. Well done Gareth Barry, well done City. Not at our best but a priceless win.

It's called winning ugly. The rags have been doing it for years. Chelsea too. Ultimately that's why they've won many of their trophies.

I can see now why United have done it for years. Psychologically, a team parking the bus will be more nervous in the last 5 minutes than a team that just plays normally. Those later attacks invariably produce the winner.

Quite right, they WILL go down and being the team of playing awful football then will do so deservedly.

That's a bloody good point.

I think we really need to swap sinclair for someone that will seriously push the first 11 and make something happen when he comes on. Nothing against the kid, but hes a mid level prem player and should be playing regularly at such team. Even as a squady we need someone better.

EVERYONE? Even when there not upto it? I know its not his fault but the kid or should I say player isnt upto it.

United are still very much a team of the first 20 minutes though. More often that not they come out of the blocks so fast to try and put the game in their hands. There's no point parking the bus if you're a goal down (unless you just don't want to concede more). If you survive the initial onslaught you seem to have a better chance of getting something from the game nowadays as they're riddled with oldies and lack a midfield. Conversely we seem able to keep control for longer periods of the game, allowing us to work out the opponent and go in for the kill in the second half (as evidenced by our high amount of scoreless first halfs).

6 of 1 in many cases though. During the initial attacks United are more susceptible to concede the first goal. We almost never concede early on.
