Cancelo Fernandinho mahrez were the three standouts tonight. in that order for me but wouldn't argue against the order being switched

Fernandinho rolled back the years tonight, Jesus was brilliant in the 1st half, Alan Smith needs to put the crackpipe down if he thinks ffs was the best player on the pitch

I've gone for Fernandhino, surprised to see Foden second, he looked like a 16 year old had been thrown in for some experience in that first half, chasing round, with little or no effect.
Improved 2nd half, and a goal and assist.
Jesus worked his arse off, and there was an image of him just before half time I think in the box surrounded by players from both teams, you could see their breath, but he was actually steaming everywhere, summed up his work rate, good goal too, even if the defending was shoddy, he still got a good header on a very good cross.

I agree Jesus Foden and Fernandinho were rightly contenders, but i am mightly impressed with Cancelo.
When was the last time city had an utility player that could play both LB and RB to a very good standard.
He put a huge shift in on saturday playing behind and on many occasion in front of Ras, then goes again for another energetic 90 mins on the opposite side 3 days later.
He might not be perfect, i'll agree but we can't question his desire or work rate.
Then 2nd post match thread i will call him an unsung hero

It would be, but there's some good humour for once just enjoy the sarcastic comments, some are excellent but he was nowhere near MoTM tonight, and he had an OK game.It'd be nice if we didn't have a go at posters voting for Mahrez.
