1) Foden: first touch was magnificent, always positive.
2) Fernandinho: Fernandinho being Fernandinho...enough said.
3) Rodri: Strong, especially for his goal & almost had a second, nothing gets by him without serious effort or skill. Hard to believe this is his first season.

If you’re a Villa fan then it’s Stones

Nah..Mason was far and away Villas man of the match.
He made some great blocks of our trying to pass quickly and let them kick us and get away with it.
Foden for us was great Bravo made a great save and Stones recovered well in 2nd half

Fernandinho was great throughout.

Rodri mostly good and Foden great for the first 70minutes but struggled in the last 20 for me.

Big shout to Bravo for that save at the end too.

Phil Foden played that wide role like he played ot for years. He was magnificent. Fernandinho yet again was immense.

My vote went to Phil.

I voted for Foden, for a guy so young to come in and be trusted in a cup final is one thing but to play the way he did was a delight to watch.

His control and first touch was exceptional, he was always looking to press forward whenever the chance was there, he was wise enough to keep the ball and play safe when required.

I suspect we will get to see more of him as the season goes on starting at Sheffield on Wednesday night.
