They weren't "on their own turf", which suggests you don't grasp football that well either, before you attack someone you should check your own info.

Sterling did pretty much everything he could do wrong tonight, he didn't give it away a "few times" he did it regularly, he even tackled his own player who was about to shoot at a pretty empty goal.

Sterling was taken off early, and then lectured in the dugout by his manager, after being told to swap sides by him earlier in the game after he'd given the ball away needlessly.
Get what your saying but i can't see Pep lecturing him about anything negative not at the moment when everything is going so well. It was probably a little friendly coaching followed by great effort out there, thats all. Sterlings played a lot lately, we have enough talent to allow him to have an off day and BTW I'm not a Raz "can't do no wrong" fan. I get just as frustrated with him in some games.

You really dont understand Football do you.?
When you play out wide, its a given that at some stage in the match you will lose the ball.thats basic.its part of a wingers locker.its all in the mix.
Playing away from home ,in Germany, switching wings at the managers direction, keeping any eye on the tatical plan.yes Sterling could be forgiven for losing the ball a few times. Like Foden. This is the Champions League.classy hard adroit german full backs...playing on their own turf.Losing the ball a fewtimes is gonna be expected from any winger,in those circumstances.
Imo.
Overall,Sterling played his part in a Fantastic team performance.
Rubbish. Sterling's performance stood out as being miles below anyone else in the side and that includes Gabby. He was awful.

Do we need to "get rid" or any other such OTT reaction, no of course not. But nothing he did came off. It wasn't matter of making the odd error.

Shame to criticise a player when the whole team played so well but that is the reality.

LOL! Given that Pep specifically mentioned our shortcomings last night in respect of one on ones with the full backs and the keeper, I’m happy enough with my take. Thanks for setting me straight though

Cancello then Bernardo but special mention for Walker. I’ve been a critic at times but he was excellent last night. Not been easy for him lately, fair play to him.

Sterling was doubled up on my BMG all night, even when he switched wings. Cancelo, Bernardo and Phil had free reign at times. I'd be much more worried about Phil's performance than Raheem. That right full was brutal and Phil had him stood up one on one three or four times, not much came off Phil with way more quality ball than Raheem. Even though Raheem was crowded out he still should have bagged a couple or set up a few. He just has this knack of being in a dangerous position. It's uncanny. Phil needs to learn this.

Bernardo man of the match. Just amazing energy and positivity. It seems to be we play well when he plays well. His slump coincided with ours

I agree about Bernie. When he's like that, it's like we're playing with 12 men because he is everywhere.

He must surely be the fittest player in the entire league - his energy levels for 90+ minutes are ridiculous. I've heard other jealous fans suggesting he's on drugs in fact.

It was clear from Pep's body language after the match that he was well aware of the flaws in our performance last night. We are probably the hardest working team in Europe at present and that is one of the reasons we win so many matches.
We couldn't achieve that success without the amazing workrate of Raheem and Gabby but when it comes to finishing both of them are a bit short at the very highest level. This weakness in the team poses the greatest risk to success in the CL this season and I am sure Pep knows this. He will have to find a way to overcome this flaw (unless Sergio comes back strongly) in the short term. In the summer I am convinced we will sign a true world-class striker who is flexible enough to play in our system.
