Without a shadow of a doubt, and ne'er reason for any debate, Eddie was head 'n shoulders above anyone on the pitch, including Lee Mason. He was a standout. Could have been that orange shirt - didn't see anyone else wear the same shirt with such distinction. The way he passed the ball out of his goal area - breathtaking! (Are yer watching, Karen? Did yer see MotD, Alliwhatson?) He makes the miraculous look easy! Every single touch, all six of 'em, were nothing short of majestic! We have a gem, and his presence on the pitch, God forbid, makes me think less 'n less of Bert Trautmann! I think I might have booked my place in the fires of hell with that last sentence!
