Dave was everywhere from start to finish, doing the dirty work as well as the probing. Rodri was exceptional but did have a lot of time in which to be. Fernandinho remained calm and composed throughout which is exactly what we need at the back. My vote goes to Jesus though. Usual battling qualities where on show but the goals just tip it in his favour.

Anytime a centre forward gets two goals, and very well taken goals at that, he gets the nod from me, but Rodri was a beast in midfield and his goal was a fucking howitzer.

To be honest, I’m disappointed there wasn’t a “Team” option, because that was the best team performance we’ve seen for some time.Dominated the ball, passing was sharp, crisp, found its man, and we had a fair few shots on goal.

Any other night, I’d probably have gone for Rodri, but Jesus gets it this time.
