Fernando for me, was another understated solid performance, in midfield, controlled the game from deep and allowed Gundogan etc the freedom to get forward.

Some good moments from Gundogan & Nolito but they fizzled without really threatening.

Sane showed Clichy up at left back too..100% tackle success rate to 0%

Ive gone for Willy, cant remember the last time I saw a City keeper making saves before tonight....

I thought Zab had a far better game than him tbh, as did Gundgoan.

Nope, Zab did very little, just filling a hole, regardless of what the ratings or people on here might want to argue.

Fernando made numerous excellent tackles and was actually the outlet ball for much of the first half.

He's a smart player and said to my brother last night he would be the best player in Scotland, based on the slow pace of last night.

He kept it ticking over and much as Gundogan was busy, his decision making and execution was pretty poor, and I have concerns he is going to get injured very soon if he doesn't get fitter and find another half yard.

He's seems to be a bit like Wilshere in the respect he over-rotates in his running and is always on the stretch, hoping he will get there and his undoubted technique can get him clear.

Lovely footballer, though.

I thought zab made some excellent runs that others just didn't pick up on.

Regarding Fernando, I'd love to see him converted to CB, but that's probably suicide with our high line. Still, he'd be better than our current ones.

You'd be better than our current ones ;)

Come in Virgil, your number's up!

Can I just add, Clichy should never have played again after the Everton game. He is truly the worst performer of the entire season, shocking application.

I agree, I said as much on the clichy thread. To be embarrassed by a kid who he was fully familiar with is a damning indictment of how far he has regressed.

Totally agree, am surprised he played him the full 90 as i'd have him in on Saturday.

Clichy is getting worse with each passing game, he's been awful, his body shape when he's receiving the ball means he's inevitably going backwards or sideways, i'd rather have seen Angelino there last night and us lose but him gain valuable experience.
