Agree. This chap has potential and I seen him developing into a critical player for City. But let’s not get too carried away. This victory was yesterday. Gone. Let’s focus on West Ham who I think are underrated. Believe.
Another game where there was no particular stand out player - Raheem was a pest all game and of course held his nerve for that final penalty. Fernandinho was excellent as ever - all three Centre backs were calmly assured dealing with the threat from Hazard with great tackles and cover. as others have said Zinchenko was excellent managing a variety of threats and always there in attack - almost voted for him - but in the end Bernardo - he was everywhere, threatening from right and centre and was one of those who stepped up with a penalty. He's becoming our most influential player.
Was tempted to give it mini Kev and Bernardo but went for Otamendi as he has had me on pins last few games he played but yesterday he stood up and was our most assured CB
He even had to change his side of the pairing when Vinny came on
I thought Sterling was top quality yesterday.
I’m not a huge Otamendi fan but he held it together at the back; and as many have said Oleks and Bernie were great.
I also thought Gundo brought some control when he came on - both defensively and with the ball.
If you’d said to me at the end of last season we would beat Chelsea in the cup final with Dave, KdB and Fern not on the pitch the whole game I’m sure I would have believed it.
