Looks like Delph is going to win by a landslide, surprises me as Serg scored 2 and assisted for 1.

Forgive me, but I picked Fernando, you won't notice him much in a 4-0 win, but he did the hard work, made one mistake.

In recent weeks he seems to have taken much more responsibility, he used to hide a lot, but now he's looking to be pro-active, and he allowed Delph the freedom to play, the two of them were very effective after the first 10 minutes.

Said this is in the Delph thread. Delph will rightly get the credit but he wouldn't of been able to produce a performance like that without Fernando giving him the backup and insurance. Doesn't slide in like De Jong so he's never going to feature on a highlights reel but he's done his job to perfection in the last few games since his return and infact before his injury too. No surprise we look a lot less shaky and open at the back when he plays.

the only thing I will says is the back 4 played very well and keeping a clean sheet again is very good signs that we are working it out without Kompany ok they had a couple of good chances but credit to joe hart did his job in keeping it out but after 20min we was never going to lose and Fabian Delph was everywhere that lad got a engine alright

I've gone for Delph, but thought Fernando was good again. He closes down well and gives freedom to the other mids.
His improving game by game and hopefully will be even better in the near future.

Gave my vote to Sergio. Could have easily had a hat trick but opted to give Silva the assist instead which can only be good for Silva's confidence.

The key imo to this great result and that at Norwich in the cup was the deployment of two hard working central midfielders in front of the back five. If our manager continues with that formula we'll be unstoppable domestically. However if he reverts to a midfield two where Yaya is one of the two then imo we'll struggle.

Delph was awsome had a great game. Onwards and upwards.

I know the poll is closed now, but I thought during the match that it was going to be out of Silva and Delph. Both played amazingly well. Silva was back to running a game for 90 mins. Delph was channelling Fernandinho in addition to his own skills!

Silva's first game back to business this year. Delph's first 90 mins.

I've got to go with David Silva. When your striker is on for a hat-trick, works himself on goal perfectly, but chooses to set up the playmaker instead.... well, that tips it over the edge for me. Magic Dave deserved that goal on Saturday.
