Rodri and Fernandinho were colossal, but I had to give it to Sterling. He changed the game.

I was going to vote for Rodri until the 66th minutes when Raheem, who totally changed the game, came on. Rodri did a great job, but Raheem's brilliant cameo was the key to win a difficult game.

Fernandinho just over Rodri. That one slip by Rodri could have been costly indeed. That said, I’m amazed he got back up after that fall.

I went for Dave. I'm surprised he isn't getting mentioned. Had a great game, some of his runs and passing in and around the box were as good as it gets. The fact they didn't end in goals doesn't diminish his contribution.

I would have voted for Eddie but the ultra defensive, two-lines of five Zagreb had little to offer Eddie so that he could practice left-handed catches à la mode Trautmann, so I've gone for Spanish Rodders. Very understated player but, just like GazBaz and Nige, take him out of the team and there's a fuckin' big landfill hole that needs covering. Great pass to Mahrez to Sterling for the first goal!

Sterling changed the game. Credit where credit is due.

Otamendi, won everything in the air and didn't give there forwards a sniff on their rare attacks. A good performance.

Rodders in a game played mostly as attack against defence he pulled all the strings going forward and snuffed out the little they offered, you hear and see that players take at least 1 full season to adapt to English football & Pep's style if that's the case we have a fantastic talent here as he looks like he is there already.

Fernandinho never put a foot wrong all night but had very little to do. Rodri was pretty good but did lose possesion a couple of times in dangerous areas.
Dave was simply brilliant all night. He was everywhere, prompting, spinning, directing and drove us on at every opportunity. A truly outstanding captains performance.

For the first time in months he team as a whole were poor, by our high standards. The finishing last night was very poor. We need as a whole team when defenders are packing the box with their whole team to try and do more shooting from outside the box, to bring them out of the box a lot more.

One of those frustrating games where we seemed to be doing everything the wrong way round, probably because we had new combinations on both wings.

Aguero was going right when he should have gone left: Silva was slowing it down when we needed to up the tempo:, Mendy was pulling it back when Gundogan and Bernardo were both running to the near post

However, we never looked in danger

Heaven alone knows why Sterling doesn't get the honours here over Rodrigo who was himself immemse. Without his introduction the game would end nil nil.

thought Zagreb packed defence well and surrounded us well in the box, hope no PL clubs where watching because that was how to breakdown our attack... They showed at 1 nil down that they can actually dribble a bit and go forward... Still thought they where boring t**ts though and hate seeing teams park the bus... We played ok but struggled breaking them down.
