Good old Fern. I’d trust him if he was to be 40. Including his usual unnecessary yellow card.
Foden and Zinchenko great as well. And a good team performance for grinding out another game at Wembley.

Surprised by the shouts for Zinchenko, personally thought he had one of his weakest games in a while.
Gone with Foden although can not argue with Fernandinho. I think Foden looked most likely to make things happen when the rest of the attack weren’t really at the races. Some of the ball control, turning, change of pace he showed today was absolutely unreal. He’s such a special special player.

I went for Zinchenko again. Lads having to deal with a very out of form Sterling in front of him, still manages to not put a foot wrong while always looking to be involved.
Look we weren't at the races going forward today, but we played at about 75% of our abilities and won 2-0.
Fair play to Everton, they thought they'd found a solution (I doubt the home support would have been happy had they been able to attend) not the football I'd want to watch, but it was working

you need to rewatch the bloody game then. But his quick link up play we’d have had a stinker.

That’s a good point, I think I take that for granted a little bit tbh. His ball retention is very good.you need to rewatch the bloody game then. But his quick link up play we’d have had a stinker.
There were a couple of times where Gundo passed the ball half a yard in front of him and somehow he didn’t get on the end of either (didn’t even sprint or stretch) and let the ball go out of play. I think that annoyed me and probably tainted my view of his performance.
