It must be KDB with special mentions to Stones, Fernandinho and Danilo. Considering what we paid for Danilo he is a very decent player.

Yawn. Although KDB did some excellent passes and ran a couple of times and had a bright red face as proof.. Silva ran the show. You might not have noticed but he did. Several MOTM performances though it has to be said. Silva, KDB, STONES, Danilo (his positioning and pressing was world class) had great games and also Mendy in the Second half was excellent.

I mean, for me, two assists is enough to mean KDB earned his MOTM award. Silva was quiet by his standards. De Bruyne created two goals, was directly involved in Sané's first too, and it could have easily been more.

Goal involvement (I know this isn't fair or accurate but oh well)

GOALS- Aguero, Jesus (2), Sané (2)
ASSISTS- De Bruyne (2), Aguero, Mendy, Walker
SECOND ASSISTS- Fernandinho (2), Mendy (2), Sané

TOTAL- Mendy (3), Sané (3), Jesus (2), Aguero (2), De Bruyne (2), Fernandinho (2), Walker (1)

Sure Silva didnt have a very typical Silva performance but that doesnt mean he was quiet. He didnt get the assists but he contributed massively in other ways, tracking back, tackling and with that armband actually directing and leading his team mates. This was my observation watching the game at the ground and a few hours after coming home I watched the whole game again recorded from tv and draw the same conclusion.

similar in what Milner used to do for us, but never getting the plaudits for it.
